Samsung Galaxy End of Life: The Complete EOL List, Model by Model

By Scott Bissett  ·  Updated: August 2026  ·  Reference — 439 Samsung mobile devices tracked  ·  Methodology on our accuracy page

Every Samsung Galaxy device has a knowable end-of-support date, and they range from 2 to 7 years after launch depending on the model's tier and year. Recent flagships (Galaxy S24 and later, and current foldables) carry seven years of security updates — the longest commitment in Android. Mid-tier and budget models get less, and models launched before 2019 are almost all past end of life today.

This is the list people search as "the Samsung end of life list" — and it is on this page in full: all 439 tracked models, grouped by line, from the newest S-series flagships back to the early Galaxy era, with the live device table as the always-current source. Samsung's security-updates page defines which devices receive monthly, quarterly, or biannual patches — a device leaving that schedule entirely is what "end of life" means for a phone.

The one-sentence version: if your Galaxy no longer appears on Samsung's security-update schedule, it receives no more patches at any cadence — and unlike a PC, there is no extended-support program for phones: replacement is the only fix.

Which Samsung Galaxy devices are end of life in 2026?

As of Aug 30, 2026, 323 of the 439 Samsung mobile devices we track are past end of support; 116 still receive security updates. The headline casualty of 2026 is the Galaxy S21 generation: the Galaxy S21 5G, S21+ 5G and S21 Ultra 5G all received their final security update on Feb 21, 2026 — five years after their Jan 29, 2021 launch. Anything older than the S21 in the flagship line, the entire Note and J series, and nearly every pre-2021 A-series model is already past end of support.

Devices that reached end of support during 2026: Galaxy A03 core (Jan 6, 2026), Galaxy A13 5G (Jan 6, 2026), Galaxy A03 (Feb 21, 2026), Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G (Feb 21, 2026), Galaxy S21+ 5G (Feb 21, 2026), Galaxy S21 5G (Feb 21, 2026), Galaxy M23 5G (Apr 7, 2026), Galaxy M33 5G (May 6, 2026), Galaxy A23 (May 6, 2026), Galaxy A13 (May 6, 2026), Galaxy M53 5G (Jun 3, 2026), Galaxy A13 (SM-A137) (Jul 1, 2026), Galaxy M13 (Jul 7, 2026), Galaxy M13 5G (Aug 4, 2026) and Galaxy F13 (Aug 4, 2026). No further tracked Samsung device has a published end-of-support date left in 2026.

Two 2021 foldables sit in an in-between state: the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G, both launched Aug 27, 2021, came off Samsung's four-year active-update window on Aug 27, 2025. Samsung has not published a final security-update date for either, so both are listed below as "Not announced" rather than given a date we cannot source.

Two useful reference points from the current lineup: the Galaxy S23 Ultra is patched until Feb 17, 2028 (5 years from launch), and the Galaxy S24 Ultra runs until Jan 24, 2031 under the 7-year policy. Every other model is in the tables below or on the live Samsung device table, which updates nightly.

Running Samsung Galaxy past end of life?
Extended support past the official EOL date exists for many products in this position — whether it covers Samsung Galaxy is exactly what we check. Tell us where to reach you and we’ll reply with matched options and pricing guidance — or an honest “no vendor covers this.” Free, no obligation.

Free · No obligation · Independent — we track the dates, vendors don’t pay for placement · dates verified against vendor sources. See all support options →

How Samsung's update tiers work

What to do with an end-of-life Galaxy

  1. Confirm the date for your exact model on our Samsung device table — names matter (an S21 FE and an S21 carry different dates).
  2. Personal devices: past end of support, avoid banking and sensitive accounts on the device, and plan replacement — trade-in values fall fastest right after a model leaves support.
  3. Fleets: EOL devices belong on a hard replacement schedule; mobile-device-management policies should enforce a minimum patch level. Track the estate with our API or the Checker.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Samsung phones are end of life in 2026?

As of Aug 30, 2026, 323 of the 439 Samsung mobile devices tracked on endoflife.ai are past end of support. The Galaxy S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra reached end of life on Feb 21, 2026, and the Galaxy M13 5G and Galaxy F13 followed on Aug 4, 2026 — the last published 2026 end-of-support dates. Every pre-2019 model and the entire Note and J series are already end of life.

How long does Samsung support Galaxy phones?

It depends on the model and launch year: Galaxy S24-generation and later flagships get 7 years of security updates; most 2021–2023 models get 4–5 years; older and budget models got 2–4. Every device's specific end date is tracked on endoflife.ai's Samsung device table.

Where is the official Samsung end-of-life list?

Samsung publishes its supported-device list on its security-updates page, organized by update cadence (monthly, quarterly, biannual). A device that leaves that list entirely no longer receives patches. endoflife.ai tracks the resulting end dates for hundreds of Samsung mobile devices in one table at endoflife.ai/samsung-mobile.

My Galaxy is past end of support — can I still use it?

It keeps working, but no new security patches will ever arrive, and there is no paid extended-support option for phones. Treat it as increasingly unsafe for banking and sensitive accounts, and plan replacement. For work devices, most corporate mobile-device-management policies require a supported, patched device.

Do Samsung phones lose updates all at once?

No — support degrades in stages. Devices typically move from monthly to quarterly to biannual security updates as they age, and then leave the schedule entirely. The end date tracked for each device is when it exits Samsung's update schedule altogether.
