End-of-Life Dates, Late October 2026: Node.js, Azure, AWS, Cisco and More

By Scott Bissett  ·  Published: October 19, 2026  ·  Roundup  ·  Every date read at the vendor's own page (Node.js Release schedule, Microsoft Learn, AWS, Acronis, Fortinet, Cisco, Red Hat, HPE Aruba Networking) and re-checked at every site build; the Azure and AWS dates are pinned to the vendor pages and fail the build if the vendor changes them.

The last twelve days of October 2026 carry lifecycle dates across software, cloud services and network hardware. Some are hard ends, after which the vendor provides no support; some only close a product to new customers or move a release line to a lower level of support. This page lists them in date order, says which kind each one is, and links to the guide or product page with the details. The two cloud dates (Azure Communication Services and AWS) are not tracked as product versions on this site, so they are pinned to the vendor's own wording instead.

Quick answer: Hard ends in this window: Cisco Catalyst 3650, Red Hat Streams for Apache Kafka 2.9, four HPE Aruba Networking SKUs, the FortiDeceptor-1000F and the FortiAuthenticator-2000E and 3000E. Support-level changes: Node.js 24 moves to Maintenance and Acronis Cyber Protect 16 to Extended Support. New-customer cutoffs: Azure Communication Services (retiring services) and two AWS services.

October 20: Node.js 24 moves to Maintenance

The Node.js Release Working Group's release schedule moves Node.js 24 from Active LTS to Maintenance on October 20, 2026. The working group defines Maintenance as critical bug fixes and security updates, with new features only at the Release team's discretion, typically to support migration to later lines. Node.js 24 reaches end of life on April 30, 2028. See Node.js 24 and the Node.js end of life guide.
