And the softer milestone most fleets never noticed already passed: End of Engineering Support arrived April 11, 2025 — the line has spent the seventeen months since in Fortinet's "Must Fix" window, receiving only what the vendor deems it must. After October 11, it receives nothing.
This deadline deserves more attention than a typical version sunset, for one reason: this is the FortiJump product line. CVE-2024-47575 — a missing-authentication flaw in FortiManager, exploited in the wild and added to CISA's KEV catalog on October 23, 2024 — demonstrated precisely what makes this product class different. FortiManager centrally manages FortiGate fleets: device credentials, configurations, policy packages. Compromising the manager can mean compromising everything it manages. Fortinet's written policy is 36 months of engineering support from GA plus 18 months of "Must Fix" support.
