Cisco Firepower 4110 Last Date of Support: January 31, 2027

By Scott Bissett  ·  Published: November 2, 2026  ·  Reference guide  ·  Dates read from Cisco's end-of-life bulletin EOL14431 on the day of publication.

Cisco support for the Firepower 4110 appliance ends on January 31, 2027. That is the Last Date of Support in Cisco's end-of-life bulletin EOL14431 for the Firepower 4110 Series Security Appliances and their 5-year subscriptions. Cisco stopped selling the 4110 on January 31, 2022, and the last date to renew a service contract for it has already passed. After the Last Date of Support, the bulletin says, all support services for the product are unavailable and the product becomes obsolete.

Signature updates stop the same day. The bulletin's End of Signature Release Date for the 4110 and its subscriptions is also January 31, 2027: after it, Cisco releases no more signature updates for the appliance. For a firewall doing intrusion prevention, that leaves detection frozen at the last update.

The replacement is already off sale

EOL14431 names the Firepower 4112 Series as the migration option for every 4110 part number. The 4112 has itself passed end of sale, on January 6, 2026, with support until January 31, 2031. A like-for-like swap therefore buys a few years, not a full hardware cycle; check Cisco's current lineup before ordering.

The appliance runs Firepower Threat Defense or ASA software, and those software releases have their own end-of-life dates, on the Firepower Threat Defense and ASA pages. Hardware past its Last Date of Support gets no fixes from Cisco, whatever software it runs.

What to do

  1. Find every 4110. The bulletin's part numbers include FPR-4110-K9, FPR4110-NGFW-K9, FPR4110-ASA-K9, FPR4110-AMP-K9 and FPR4110-NGIPS-K9; inventory and contract records usually carry them.
  2. Pick the replacement by its own dates. The 4112 runs to January 31, 2031; a current-generation model buys more time. The Firepower page lists every model.
  3. Plan the cutover before January 31, 2027, when both support and signature updates end.
